There was the resounding echo of a slap as Kagome's hand connected with Inuyasha's cheek, leaving a bright red imprint. "Who the hell do you think you are, bossing me around like that? What I do is none of your business!"
Miroku and Sango tried to fade into the background, but not before Kagome turned her temper to them. "And you two!" They looked a little bit like guilty children as Kagome pointed at them. "You two need to just get over yourselves!"
Shocked by her words, Miroku, Sango, and Inuyasha all watched with gaping jaws as Kagome strode out of the cave where they had taken shelter in the rain, shocked by her strange behavior. She had been edgy and very tempermental ever since they'd stepped foot into the cave, and no one knew why.... It was so unlike Kagome to just blow up at everyone....
