The family would pray to them everyday to let other people settle by them. Unfortunately, the spirits sadly refused because they were afraid outsiders would ruin their mountain, rob the mountain of it's resources, and attempt to destroy the spirits themselves.
The family attempted convincing the spirits that not all human beings were like that. They used themselves as an example but the spirtis still declined arguing, "But you are our descendants... of course you woulnd't do any of those things..."
Some new spirits had doubts about the elder spirits decision but the elders explained that they had let other people stay in their beautiful mountain but the people had no respect for it and were slowly destroying it. They definitely didn't want another incident like that to happen again...
But still, the family prayed to the spirits everyday... they were worried about their only child. His parents were far older than him therefore he never really had anyone to talk to. The parents became worried when they saw him sitting lifeless, staring into nothingness. They thought, if only he had someone to play with, to talk with... if only he had a companion around his age.
The spirits decision slowly wavered with each day. The family was now begging them. The eldest of the spirits turned his gaze towards the little teenage boy. He was staring wistfully at a small village below the high mountain. His hazel eyes pinpointing a small group of kids his age just hanging out with each other.
The spirits saw this and saddened, doubting their decision.
"Fine."
The parents looked up, startled at the single word.
"But only on one condition. If those villagers make as much as three mistakes, they will NEVER be allowed to live here again."
The boy's eyes widened. Was this real? He quickly turned his gaze back to the little group of kids... He looked right at a thin girl in the middle of them. Even though she was starving, she still found the strength to laugh at everyone's jokes, although rather weakly. "I wonder... will we ever laugh together?", he said silently.
The parents and spirits exchanged knowing glances. This is going to be interesting...

Okay, the villagers would gladly move to the mountain because their current village is very low on resources and the mountain has flowing rivers, the most fertile land... everything. Spirits love the place ^^;
This was sort of stupid... it's really late here and I'm sleepy so... I might delete this later since it sucks! ^_^;;

OOC: No it's ok. I like your plot. Plus..this story starter is just for fun!!! hehe.
Some villagers really did move into the mountain and settled down. It included the starved girl in which the teenage boy was intrested in. She was named Jade.....
